Laser Engraving
A customization method involving the use of a high energy light
beam to mark the material surface. Laser engraving can be
applied to a variety of materials to produce custom marks
including: metals, rubber, plastic, wood and glass. We apply
this method to customize both anodized aluminum products and
plastic inserts for license plate frames. Laser engraving
produces very high resolution marks that show up "frosty" white
when applied to anodized aluminum. It achieves this by removing
the colored anodization from the surface of the material under
the beam exposing the raw aluminum underneath.
Tagsandchains.com uses only the most
modern and advanced YAG lasers to achieve the highest quality
marks available. |

LED
Our mini flashlight keychains emit a bright white light. The
source of the light is LED or Light Emitting Diode. LEDs have
many advantages over the more traditional incandescent bulbs:
longer life, less heat generation, small size making them ideal
for keychains and other small objects. In addition to a white
light, LEDs are also manufactured to emit other colors ie blue,
red, green, purple etc. |
|
Lead-time
The amount of days it will take to produce your order. Standard
lead-time on most custom imprinted products is 10 to 15 business
days. Lead-time is always subject to items being in stock as
well as receipt of the order artwork. Rush service is available
for most items. We have three levels of rush: 1-2 days, 3-5 days
and 7-10 days. They all incur additional rush charges. Please
contact us for applicable charges for your rush order. |
|
No Load Bearing
Refers to promotional carabiners being used as keychains.
Promotional carabiners are replicas of "real" load bearing
climbing carabiners and are designed to carry small objects such
as keys and small tools. Under no circumstances should a load
heavier than what normally be applied to a keychain be put on
promotional carabiners. All
promotional carabiners
sold by tagsandchains.com have the words "no load bearing"
stamped on either the gate or the spine as a reminder that
promotional carabiners should not be used for climbing. |
|
Pad Printing
A custom imprinting method used to customize badge reels. This
printing method is good for relatively small image areas
compared to screen printing, hot stamping and dye sublimation.
The number colors printed is typically one or two. Pad printing
deposits a relatively thin coat of ink on the material surface
making this printing method more vulnerable to wear compared to
other printing methods. |
|
Promotional Product
Any product custom imprinted with a name, logo or message with
the intention of promoting a business or individual personal
events. The best promotional products are functional and used on
a daily basis thus giving your "promotional message" more
visibility. Cost is also a factor. Small functional products
such as keychains, that are relatively inexpensive work best.
These tend to have the highest return on investment and are used
frequently on a daily basis.
Tagsandchains.com specializes in the manufacturing and
customization of a variety of low cost functional and practical
promotional products from
lanyards, dog tags
and badge reels to
safety whistles,
bottle openers
and mini led
flashlights. Common uses for promotional products for
business and individuals include: tradeshows, parties, weddings,
anniversaries, reunions, fundraisers, special events, new
product release, website, telephone and company name
advertising. |
|
Rubber Silencer
A rubber o-ring that is assembled around the edges of a dog tag.
Authentic military dog tags make use of rubber silencers to keep
a pair of dog tags on a chain from making noise when coming into
contact with each other. These traditional silencers are black
in color. We offer blank as well as many other cool silencer
colors for our military,
engraved and
full color metal
dog tags. |
|
Screen Printing
A custom imprinting method used for custom printed cotton and
nylon lanyards. With screen printing the image to be printed is
first transferred to a very fine mesh 'screen" through
photographic exposure. Ink is applied to the screen and squeezed
out through the image area of the screen onto the material being
printed. Since the ink goes on wet it must be cured which is
typically achieved by sending the freshly printed material
through a belt drier. Other methods for drying are also used ie
air, flash. Depending on the porosity of the material being
printed, screen printed images either sit on the surface or get
slightly absorbed into the material. Screen printing is slightly
more expensive and more durable compared to hot stamping. |
|
Second Side Engraving
This refers to an additional engraving on an anodized aluminum
product. Most aluminum promotional products can be engraved on
the second side. Second side engraving can be the same as side
one or something different. If side two artwork is different
from side one then a second set-up charge with be incurred. The
additional charge for second side engraving is $0.15 to $0.25
ea. depending on the product and the size of the area being
engraved. |
|
Set-up Charge
This refers to the charge for getting your artwork for
customization. Resizing, touching up and creating computer
templates takes extra-time and is not included in the unit price
of the product. Set-up charges are also used to cover the
production of printing screens for screen printing and metal
plates for hot stamping and pad printing. Our set-up charges are
among the lowest in the industry ranging from $25 for custom
laser engraving and embossing, $35 for screen printing, pad
printing and hot stamping and $45 for full color process
printing. |
